Why Kabsat

More Than a Meal

Dining at Kabsat La Union is an experience rooted in place, heritage, and genuine Filipino hospitality.

Beachfront Location

Our tables sit steps from the sand of Urbiztondo Beach, the surf capital of Northern Luzon. Watch waves roll in as you dine — there is no better seat in San Juan.

Ilocano Heritage

Every dish honors the rich culinary traditions of Ilocos. From Bagnet to Poqui-Poqui, we cook the food that has sustained and celebrated Ilocano communities for generations.

Fresh From the Sea

We source 90% of our seafood directly from local fishermen in San Juan and Bauang. Freshness is not a marketing claim here — it is a daily commitment.

Sunset Views

La Union faces west, and our beachfront setting gives you a front-row seat to one of the Philippines' most spectacular sunsets. It never gets old.

I have eaten at every major restaurant in La Union over the past five years and Kabsat is in another league. The Bagnet is the best I have ever had — absolutely shatteringly crispy with meat that stays juicy inside. Combined with the beachfront setting and the sunset cocktails, this was one of the best dinners of my life.

We came for our anniversary and Kabsat made it unforgettable. The live acoustic guitarist was playing as the sun went down, and the Seafood Platter for Two was absolutely stunning. The Kabsat Sunset cocktail should be mandatory for every visitor to La Union.

We bring our family to La Union every Holy Week and Kabsat has become our non-negotiable dinner spot. The kids love the Halo-Halo and the buko shake. The adults cannot get enough of the Tuna Panga and the Wagyu Sisig.

As someone from the north who takes Ilocano food seriously, Kabsat La Union is doing something genuinely special. The Dinakdakan and Bagnet Kare-Kare rival anything I have had in Laoag. Kabsat is the real thing.
